Wisner Pilger Elementary School
Image
Wisner-Pilger Public Schools, nestled in the northeast corner of the state, recently opened the doors of their approximately 54,000 square feet elementary school addition onto their existing high school. AES was honored to provide MEP services for this project. The MEP design consisted of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system paired with a dedicated outdoor air unit. The VRF system provides individual control for each room creating a great learning environment. A clearstory spans the length of the classroom wing providing wonderful natural light for the interior spaces. The lighting was designed using LED fixtures. A lighting control panel was provided to automatically control light levels based on the natural light being emitted into each space.
Old Cheney Rehab
AES recently completed the MEP design of a nearly 100,000 square ft., 89-unit, 3-story assisted living/memory care facility in Lincoln, NE. The MEP system consists of individually controlled terminal units with dedicated outside air systems. A 275 kW diesel generator was installed to provide back-up power for the commercial kitchen and critical equipment in the facility. LED lighting was provided throughout the majority of the facility to minimize maintenance and increase energy efficiency.

Sutton Dermatology

AES provided design services for Sutton Dermatology’s new approximately 48,000 S.F. facility which opened in October 2017. This new facility has been designed to enhance the patient experience as well as provide additional services such as procedure rooms for specialized dermatology and aesthetic treatments. The AES team developed creative and coordinated solutions for a full energy management control system for this state of the art facility.

The system includes a geothermal water source heat pump system with ninety wells at 300’ deep each. The design ensured convenient maintenance access by strategic placement of the heat pumps. With the use of geothermal heating and cooling and features such as the use of energy efficient LED lighting and emergency generator back-up, AES was able to provide Sutton Dermatology with several long-term energy saving strategies.
